1. Create your salon
- Open the sign-up page, for example with the Start for free button on this website.
- Under Salon name, enter the name as it should appear on your booking page.
- Below it, Kammzeit suggests an address for your booking page, for example
salon-example.kammzeit.com. You can use a-z, 0-9 and hyphens, 3 to 40 characters. Next to the field you can see whether the address is still available. It cannot be changed later. - Under Your first name, enter your name. Customers book with you under this name. You can add more staff later.
- Under Email, enter the address you want to log in with. There is no password.
- Tick the box to confirm that you are signing up the salon as a business and accept the terms and the data processing agreement. The box for Kammzeit news below it is optional. Then click Create salon.
2. Log in with the link
You will see “Almost done”, and we send an email with your login link to the address you entered.
- Open the link on the device you want to use Kammzeit on. It is valid for 15 minutes and works only once.
- Click Log in now. You are now in your dashboard, in the Calendar. The first time, Kammi shows you around in a short tour.
No email? Check your spam folder. On the login page you can request a new link at any time. If you ticked Kammzeit news, a second email asks you to confirm. We only send news once you have confirmed.
Logging in again later
Open the login page, enter your Email, click Send login link, open the link in the email and click Log in now. You stay logged in on that device for 30 days. Log out is at the top right of the dashboard.
Your login belongs to exactly one salon. With Pro you can give your team their own logins, see Invite your staff.
3. What is already there
So you don't start from scratch, Kammzeit sets up a starting point when you sign up:
- a staff member with your first name, working Tuesday to Friday 09:00-18:00 and Saturday 09:00-14:00,
- two example services: a 30-minute haircut for €25.00 and a 60-minute wash, cut and blow-dry for €45.00.
The example services start out inactive. Nothing can be booked online until at least one service is active, so you can check everything in peace first.
At the top of the Calendar you will find a Getting started checklist with four steps. Each step is ticked off as soon as it is done, and the list disappears with your first online booking.
4. Set up
- Services: adjust names, durations and prices, add your own services and tick Active, bookable online. See Services.
- Team: open your staff member, check the working hours and the services they offer. Breaks go into the second block. See Team and working hours.
- Settings, Salon section: phone, address, website, the link to your salon's legal notice (imprint) and a few lines about your salon. All of this appears on your booking page.
- In the same section, check the Email for booking notifications. New bookings and cancellations are sent there. It is prefilled with your login address.
- Appearance section: your Logo, the Accent colour for buttons and highlights and the Booking page language (English or Deutsch). Your booking page and the emails to your customers use this language. See Customise your booking page.
- Booking rules section: how short-notice customers may book and cancel. The defaults are a minimum notice of 1 hour, cancellation up to the start of the appointment and a booking window of 60 days. See Booking rules.
Finish each page with Save. A confirmation then appears at the top.
5. Make a test booking
- Click Booking page at the top right of the dashboard. It opens in a new tab, exactly as your customers see it.
- Book an appointment with your own email address. You receive the confirmation with a calendar file and a cancellation link, and a notification about the new booking goes to your email for booking notifications.
- The appointment now appears in the Calendar. Cancel it with the link in the email, or open it in the calendar and click Cancel appointment.
6. Share your link
Now your customers just need to find the page: in your Instagram bio, your Google Business Profile, your WhatsApp status or as a button on your website. Share your booking link explains how.
Free and Pro: On the Free plan, one staff member can be active, and a small Kammzeit notice appears at the bottom of your booking page. Pro gives you unlimited staff, logins for your team, the queue for walk-ins, a cover image, design options and a photo gallery, and no notice. See Pro and cancelling.
