Log in in your browser first. A notice “Kammzeit as an app” then appears once at the bottom of the dashboard. Close hides it on that device.
iPhone and iPad
- Open the login page in Safari and log in.
- Tap the Share icon (the square with the arrow pointing up).
- Choose Add to Home Screen, then Add.
Kammzeit now sits on your home screen with the comb icon. It opens without an address bar, just like an app.
Android
- Open Kammzeit in Chrome and log in.
- Tap Install app in the notice at the bottom. If you closed it: open the menu with the three dots at the top right, then Install app or Add to Home screen.
- Confirm. Kammzeit is then with your other apps.
Computer
In Chrome, Edge and other Chromium browsers: click Install app in the notice or the install icon on the right of the address bar. Kammzeit then opens in its own window and can be pinned to the taskbar. In Safari on a Mac, use File › Add to Dock. Firefox on computers can't install web apps. There you simply keep using Kammzeit in the browser, with the same features.
Shortcuts
On Android, press and hold the Kammzeit icon. On a computer, right-click the icon in the taskbar. You can then jump straight to New appointment, Customers or Queue.
Without internet
Kammzeit needs a connection. If you are offline, the app shows “You are offline” and reloads by itself as soon as you are back online. Appointments and customers are not available offline, because they are never stored on the device.
No customer data on the device
The app only stores things that don't change and don't concern anyone on the device: the font, colours, images and the offline page. Pages with appointments and customers always come fresh from the server and are never kept in the device's storage. That is good for the computer at the front desk and the shared tablet. Still log out on such devices when you leave. More under Data and security.
You remove the app like any other, for example by pressing and holding the icon. That doesn't change anything in your account.
